Morning Workouts and Weight Loss
While a stomach bypass and obesity surgery works great for those that need to lose a great deal of weight, they are not a sole cure for weight loss. In addition to weight loss surgery, traditional exercise and eating better is the key to a healthier body. Weight loss happens and stays off with solid behavioral changes. Working out every morning can help you to reach your goal.
When trying to lose weight on your own, a lot depends on the timing of your exercise, when you eat, and how much your caloric intake is. For most people, the prime opportunity to get the biggest bang out of exercise tends to be in the earlier part of the day. Why? The body has the most energy from resting the night before, it has not fully taken in a day’s worth of calories, and you are not beaten down by the exhaustion of the work day.
A morning exercise regimen also doesn’t need to be a big affair. A significant amount of calories can be burned off daily by just 40 minutes of good activity that works up a decent sweat. By alternating a cardiovascular routine every other day with a weight and strength training routine on the other day, your body can maintain a significant metabolic burn six days a week, with one day for rest from any exercise.
The second part of the package, of course, is to reduce food intake. Focusing on vegetables, protein, and fiber will make your morning exercise routines more productive. Your body will consume your breakfast rather than store it. And by keeping your total daily calorie intake lower, the exercise will begin to shed off the pounds easier.
